DIRECTION FOR USE

• Safecrete should be added to the concrete mix during the mixing cycle at the same time with the water.
• Never add Safecrete to dry cement.
• Please shake the admixture before use.
• In sand-cement mortar for masonry work and plaster, in cement concrete mixtures for R.C.C. structures use 0.25% dilute, solution of safecrete (100 ml of safecrete disserhold) in necessary water per bag (50kgs) of cement.
• Water impermeable roof slabs, basements, swimming pools etc 200ml per bag (50kgs) of cement.

HYDROLYSIS

When water is added to Cement, hydrolysis of Calcium Silicates take place Calcium Silicates decompose into Calcium Silicates of lower basicity and release Calcrum Oxide which forms Calcium Hydroxide with water.

HYDRATION

2 - HYDRATION : These Silicates take up water molecules to Form Hydrated Silicare molecules in the process of nonreversible gel Formation, which then change into meta-stable gel with simultaneous. production of crystalline products during the setting process of Cement Paste. Hardening of the set Cement paste is due to development of much stronger and irreversible inter twined crystalline structure. In normal course of cement setting and hardening, cement actually loses strength as the calcium silicates of higher basicity decompose to lower basicity during the process of Hydrolysis and on hydration these lower basic Calcium Silicates Form Hydrated Calcium Silicate Cryustals of lower molecular weight and therefore acquire less strength during hardening process, Hydrolysis or lime leaching process starts from cement : water mixing & continues till 28 days of curing.

SAFECRETE in dilute solution, as soon as comes in contact with Portland Cement/Portlard pozolona, stops the process of hydrolysis i.e. the process of Lime separation (Ca(OH)2) and thereby does not allow the cement to lose its 50% strength as iin the normal course. Gel activator activates the gel formation and with the help of high grade plasticizer it forms a very cohesive and plastic mass of Portland Cement in which the initial setting time is retarded for perfect working i.e. high compaction and waterproofing. During activated gel formation the whole mass accumulates high percentage of water and hydration son process is activated to acquire very high degree of hydration, that's why hardening of the hydrated mass continues, even after stopping the water curing fro at least 7 days till all the accumulated moisture is used in hydration and hardening process is complete to achieve final strength.

Furthermore SAFECRETE solution reacts with re-informcement to produce a protective coating and at the same time it creates a strong bond between the re-inforcement and cement concrete mass thereby producing a very high tensile strength in the R.C.C. structure. SAFECRETE also contains high class stabilizers to make the cement concrete and mortar highly stable & resistant to atmospheric acidity as well as salinity and thereby make them much more duration than in the normal course. SAFECRETE solution on the other hand overcome problem with full efficiency by stopping the process of hydrolysis and converting the high heat evolving process to low heat process.
